This documentary follows the journey of a quintessential London band, famous for their 90s anthems (Parklife, Girls & Boys, Song 2, and more), as they reinvent themselves and break free from the Britpop label to achieve timelessness. Despite their diverging paths—Damon Albarn with Gorillaz, Dave Rowntree’s political career, Graham Coxon’s solo projects, and Alex James’s life as a cheesemaker—the four long-time friends reunited in early 2023 to record a brand-new album. For filmmaker Toby L., this was the perfect moment to craft an intimate portrait of the band.
The film captures touching moments of camaraderie, joy, nostalgia, and introspection. It offers a candid glimpse into a band confronting its past, present, and future, with Albarn poignantly reflecting: “Time is not infinite.”
