My Way is much more than just a song; this major composition has transcended eras, borders, and generations. It is an anthem that has become part of ourselves and has firmly established itself in the history of music. One of the most covered songs in the world, from Sid Vicious to Tom Jones, and from Nina Simone to Nina Hagen. Yet, it is often overlooked that it was created in France, in Megève, by Jacques Revaux and Claude François under the title Comme d’Habitude, by the pool of the Moulin de Dannemois, during a summer afternoon in 1967. A series of chance encounters during sleepless nights would guide it across the Atlantic to the one who would make it a legend with the lyrics of Paul Anka : Frank Sinatra.
This documentary traces the rise of a mythical song as it enters the pantheon of popular culture.
